November 2018 Photo Round-Up

Voter turnout was pretty heavy at Edmonds Ballroom at Pomona College.

The library renovations were completed (story to follow next week).

Pilgrim Place Festival enjoyed warm temps this year.

But it turned cooler by Thanksgiving for the annual Turkey Trot.

Urban Light is a popular place for photos at LACMA,

but these trees reminded me of Urban Light with a view of Levitated Mass on the other side of the museum.

Women’s Basketball season is underway at the colleges. Go, Athenas!

Berlin in Los Angeles

One needn’t travel to Berlin to see what’s left of the Wall. The longest stretch outside of the city sits across the street from LACMA (the Los Angeles County Museum of Art) in front of the Wende Museum.

If you wander by, be sure to look at the back side which is also painted.

Unofficial Little Free Libraries

There are undoubtedly others, but here are some of the Little Free Libraries that are not officially registered on the website.

This is the first such book sharing receptacle I had ever seen. It’s on W 9th St.

And this one’s on W 9th St. near Berkeley Ave.

The Gumby House with the little succulent stand also has a book share.

This little cart is in front of Crepes de Paris in Village West, and the one on the right is across the street from Wolfe’s on Harvard Ave.

This one is at 394 Rockford.
