Public Art in Wichita

Although the Keeper of the Plains is probably the most prominent art in Wichita, we ran across a number of other pieces in our day walking through downtown.

Probably the most famous artist work we saw was Eléments Démontables by Alexander Calder which graces the Fourth Financial Bank and Trust.

This website points to many other artworks, such as the bronze statues along Douglas Ave.

and this chrome bumper pig (also in the bank near the Calder).

The painted bricks in this alley are called Field of Happiness by Sue Godwin, but I didn’t find any info on the sculptures.

If you know about these sculptures, please leave a comment below.
