On Monday (the day after our return to non-Daylight Savings Time) the morning fog was as thick as peanut butter, or pea soup – whichever version you prefer. I like both, although not at the same time.

But really, it’s still fall here.
It’s finally cooling down in Claremont, but it’s really fall in Oregon, and we took a morning trip to a local pumpkin patch, which is really a farm with all kinds of things to see.
But not here in Claremont. Oregon residents and visitors are enjoying lovely fall colors this week.
In Claremont we call this weather we’ve been having winter. We’ve had to actually put on jackets when we go out, and our furnaces have been turned on. From pictures I’ve been seeing from friends in other parts of the country and world, they would call our weather fall. Here are some lovely colors in front of Hahn Hall at Pomona College.
