Orozco’s Prometheus

The great mural of Prometheus by Jose Clemente Orozco, in Frary Dining Hall at Pomona College, is one of Claremont’s hidden treasures. Available for viewing during dining hall hours, it anchors the far end of the room from the entrance.

Upon closer inspection, one can see the side panels, which meet the main panel at ninety-degree angels.

While the lights can be turned on to see the mural after dark, these lights cast quite a glare, making part 0f the mural difficult to see.
