Redwood Regional Park

Thanks to the magic of air travel, one can hop up to the Bay Area one day and attend a wedding, and still have time the next morning to take a hike before heading back to Claremont in time for dinner.

I do not know if I have ever been to the Redwood Regional Park behind the Oakland hills, but we chose this place to visit because of events and heavy foot traffic in Muir Woods.

Although the parking lot was overflowing, we did not feel as though the place was overrun with people, and the hour-long hike in perfect weather was a great way to spend a Sunday morning.

  1. Thanks for a visit to the redwood forest. The immense size of the trees has always been fascinating to me. It looks so beautiful & shady as we move here more into summer weather in Southern California.
